Our fees are changing from 1st October 2024
As part of our ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional care, we want to inform you of a necessary adjustment to our consultation fees. Beginning 1st October 2024, our fees will be updated in response to rising market costs. This change is crucial for us to continue offering the high standard of service and expertise you have come to rely on. We deeply value your trust and support, and we are here to address any questions or concerns you may have about this update. Thank you for your understanding and for being an important part of our community. Set out below are the new fees that will take effect from 01 October 2024.

COVID-19 Vaccinations
vaccines remain free and available to eligible people aged 6 months and over
Free RATs
Rapid Antigen Tests will remain FREE until 30 September 2024.
You can continue to pick up free RATs for you and your household from participating pharmacies and RAT collection centres- including Toitoi Manawa - Tāmaki Hub (75a Felton Mathew Ave, St. Johns). Please note Ōrākei Health is not a collection centre.

Increase in Whooping Cough cases (Pertussis)
There has been an increase in whooping cough cases across Aotearoa in all ages. See below for key advice:

Boostrix booster is funded for people aged 9-13 years, 45 years and 65 years.

Pregnant/Hapū people: The Boostrix vaccination is FREE and highly recommended to get during each pregnancy (second trimester) This vaccination is 92% protective against infant mortality from whooping cough.

Parents/Caregivers to infants: Ensure all babies receive their 6-week immunisations on time.

Maternity & Healthcare workers: Booster vaccinations of Boostrix every 5 years are recommended

Farewell Dr. Michael Courtenay
It is with both sadness and humble appreciation to announce the resignation of Dr. Michael 'Mike' Courtenay. Dr Mike joined the Ōrākei Health team in 2018 as a General Practitioner going on to become the Clinical Lead in 2020, Dr. Mike's contribution particularly through the COVID-19 Pandemic and other health challenges has been immeasurable. In addition, we acknowledge his role and influence in taking GP Registrars and Medical students under his wing, to aid in their studies and ultimately nurture the next generation of General Practitioners. Pīki mihi kia koe Dr. Mike! Thank you for all your mahi and dedication. We wish you all the best in your future endeavours. Ōrākei Health will host an afternoon tea on Tuesday 18th June 2024, 1pm – 2pm being his last day with us. & Ōrākei Health
Ōrākei Health is also set up to support all registered NWŌ patients through the nib Health Insurance claims process. Contact our friendly clinic team on 09-578 0956 to get your claims started! If anyone needs help, you are also welcome to come into the clinic with your pre-approvals (if you don’t have cold/flu symptoms).
