Following the recent announcement made by the Prime Minister about Tāmaki Makaurau moving to Alert Level 3 from Sunday 14 February at 11:59pm until  Wednesday 17 February at 11:59pm, we anticipate that more patients will want to visit our clinic for regular health checks and updates. As your health and wellbeing is priority for us as well as that of our staff, Ōrākei Health will continue to operate as we have been across all Covid-19 Alert Levels.


What does this mean?

  • If you need to see a GP or would like to book a consult, please contact Reception before you come into clinic. If you present with any of the symptoms below, you will be asked to return straight to your car to contact Reception and be advised of the next steps to take

  • All consults will continue to be delivered primarily by phone. Where the GP requires an in-person assessment, they will book this with the patient directly over the phone.

  • It is important to contact Reception if you have any cold/flu-like symptoms before you come into the clinic. These include any of the following: fever, cough, a sore throat, shortness of breath, head cold and loss of sense of smell.

Covid-19 Swabbing

  • We will continue to provide Covid-19 swabbing at Ōrākei Health. Please contact our friendly Reception team on 09 578 0956, who will add you into our system and then our Nurses will call you back, triage you and from there book you in for a Covid swab.

Repeat Prescriptions

  • Our patients are able to request repeat prescriptions by calling the clinic and pressing option 2 and following the prompts provided

Ōrākei Health holiday hours of operation:


We are open on the non-statutory workdays over this holiday season with reduced hours and staff capacity.

8:00am – 4:30pm
 are our new opening hours during the reduced hours and capacity days which are: 29, 30 and 31 December 2020.

We are closed over all statutory public holidays as per usual. Our normal operating hours (8am – 6pm) return to normal on Tuesday, 5th of January 2020.

With Christmas fast approaching, we want to ensure our patients are aware of how they can access care through Ōrākei Health over the Christmas and New Year holiday period.


Hours of operation:

We will be open for only half the day on Friday, 18th of December 2020 (8am – 12pm) to allow our clinic staff to enjoy a well-deserved Christmas lunch.

Repeat prescriptions:

With reduced hours & capacity over the holiday period, we encourage patients who will be needing medication over the holiday period to lodge a request on our Nurses repeat prescription line. Simply call 09 578 0956, press option 2 and follow the voice message prompt. Please allow longer processing times for your holiday prescriptions to be by our Doctors

Following the recent announcement made by the Prime Minister about Aotearoa moving to Alert Level 1 on Wednesday 7th October at 11.59pm, we anticipate that more patients will want to visit our clinic for regular health checks and updates. As your health and wellbeing is priority for us as well as that of our staff, Ōrākei Health will continue to operate as we have been across all Covid-19 Alert Levels.

What does this mean?
  • All consults will continue to be delivered primarily by phone. Where the GP requires an in-person assessment, they will book this with the patient directly over the phone.

  • All Walk-ins will be triaged by our Nursing team. If you need to see a GP – please contact Reception before you come into clinic. If you present with any of the symptoms below, you will be asked to return straight to your car to contact Reception and be advised of the next steps to take.
